They replaced the bike for me after 30 plus emails & a lot of heartache, but it's done now. the NEW replacment bike I got works much better, connects easy & has a stable connection, ride quality & comfort is exceptional, I will give it one major flaw it's ability to sprint is terrible compared to neo & other devices, the gear shifting is also very slow, but if like me you intend to do 4hr plus sessions it's a super horse to train on for ultra endurance.
This bike should last so many years ONCE there is spare parts available which will give it a good resale value, I seen the inside it looks like the two things that can go on it are the bearings or belt and both look like they can be replaced ?
I have had issues with the update software working on some devices and not on others (I'm a competent linux user) I am sure in time they will resolve the issues they have and this bike will become one of the best on the market and it's easy to see they are on the road to getting there but have many fences to jump with the customers and software.
If you like someting that you can just jump on with very little hassle, is exceptionally comfortable for many hours online, have no worries about wearing your bike components down ( in years it might cost less to have an SB20), no worries about sweat rotting your bike and want the accuracy of a stages dual power meter, this is your bike, I see it as an investment that in the long term will save me money and training time for a busy lifestyle.
Fantastic bike and great service by Cigala Cycling. Thank you for your time over the phone and the expert advice.
Bike delivered within 5 days. Using the product a few months now and really happy with it.
follow up review, two months later, DONT buy this bike, problems, problems, problems and nobody wants to know, it's mostly software issues with the bikes main broadcast and the bearings in the flywheel making a loud thudding sound ( was very quiet for the first few weeks), I have loads of emails, pictures and videos to back this review up, it at first feels solid, works great to a point, very solid to cycle as it was well designed for cycling, but then very quickly it turned into a nightmare and stages can't seem to resolve it, all I can say to you is simply don't waste your money, it might be a great bike in 6 months when the customers have done there R&D for them but for now stay away.
It will work on Zwift, trainer road, Rouvy or fulgaz for about 40 minutes, u may be lucky and get an hour then the bike broadcast blanks out and the bike needs unpluging for 5 minutes and if your lucky it will start broadcasting again ? in the middle of a training session. if your a serious athlete it's not worth the hassle.
I had my 14 day return option and was in the process of using it but decided to give them a chance, I seriously regret that decision.
Solid Bike, had a few problems at the start but they were minor issues, the bike is very solid and I have tested it in different situations, I have used the Neo 1 and 2, also the Watt bike pro, this by far out does all of them the pedaling is so smooth as the bike has a very solid base, though I am not a sprinter I can see how it could be good for sprinting online, it works great with all third party software with the exception of Zwift in which case it over reads the bike but it also over reads my Garmin V3 pedals too by more but not by too much but enough to make my numbers look far fetched ?
Been on to Zwift they have their heads were the sun does not shine ? you will probably get 3 to 15 percent more by the over reading by Zwift, but on other software it's perfect.
Well worth the investment as I work 5 to 6 days a week and have little time to train this bike is ready to go when I get home or before I go to work and because it's so solid there is a lot less chance of injury, I could sit on this longer than my road bike Look 695, it was well designed for use for long hours and still can't believe how it feels better than any bike road or indoor that I have ever used before.
I was going to give it 4 stars over the minor issues but the feel and solid making of this bike is going to make it a legend of it's era of smart bikes, its not perfect but they gave it an excellent effort.
